If you are new to the BLS or BAS program, please APPLY NOW to review the application process and submit your online application!
The following are needed to complete your application for admission:
- Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
- Documentation of military training, if applicable
- $55 application fee

Previous UI students who have been absent from the university one year or more will need to complete the APPLICATION FOR RE-ENTRY.
The following are needed to complete your application for re-entry:
- Official transcripts for any college course work taken since you were last at the UI
- $20 application fee

If you are an international student who would like to apply to an online BAS or BLS degree program, please go to the INTERNATIONAL APPLICATION PROCESS.
The following are needed to complete your application:

Official transcripts from every secondary school, college, university, technical/vocational institute, or professional institution you have attended.

$80 application fee

If your first language is not English, you are required to submit TOEFL scores with a minimum score of 100 to be admissible to the BAS/BLS program.

Current University of Iowa (UI) students who would like to be admitted to another degree program at the UI complete the Change of College Application.
Change of College Application Instructions
- Log into MyUI.
- Navigate to the "Student Information" section.
- Select "Change of College Application."
- Select the college/program you are applying to from the drop-down menu.
- Select the session you would like the change to become effective.
Important Note: Accessing Online Courses from Outside of the United States
Before you apply for online degree admission with the University of Iowa, please note that there are some locations outside of the United States where students have had difficulty accessing online courses. Please find more information here: Online Outside of the U.S.
STEP 2. GET STARTED
Once your submit your application, proceed to our GETTING STARTED section to prepare to begin your degree program.
After you submit an application for admission, watch your email for your official HawkID and password. Your HawkID and password gives you access to your Admissions Profile through MyUI, the University of Iowa’s online student portal. Your Admissions Profile is where you can upload unofficial transcripts and monitor the progress of your application. Let’s get started!
