The Bachelor of Applied Studies (BAS) degree requires 45 semester hours of upper-level credit.

Course numbers 3000 to 4999 are considered upper-level for undergraduate students.  For a detailed explanation of the UI course numbering system please see Course Numbering System.

Completion of Distribution Area requirements provide for a minimum of 18 semester hours of upper-level credit.  Any upper-level course counts towards the required 45 semester hours including transfer courses, courses taken to satisfy general education requirements, additional courses in Distribution Areas, electives, and optional certificate or Emphasis Area courses.
